Jake Sullivan did not order Ukraine to strike Crimea in his interview with CNN; he reaffirmed the U.S. position that Crimea is part of Ukraine. -
“As repeatedly stated before, Iran's nuclear program has only peaceful purposes, and nuclear weapons have no place in the Iranian defense doctrine.”

The Will Smith-Chris Rock incident was personal and resolved without state involvement. That is drastically different from the consequences for Chinese comedian Li Haoshi, arrested and facing criminal charges due to the state censorship. -

Russian news outlets based their reports about Twitter users ridiculing Zelenskyy’s European visit on six tweets, two of which are non-existing, while the other four came from shadowy accounts. -

Prime Minister Hun Sen disbanded the opposition before 2018 elections. His latest move against political competition is again aimed at preserving his decades-long grip on power. -

Russia waged a war on Ukraine that destroyed at least nine Ukrainian cities and more than $400 billion worth of Ukrainian infrastructure. Tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians have been killed or injured. -

Wagner Group mercenaries have engaged in systemic violence against civilians in the Central African Republic to secure access to mineral resources. -

The massive, largely peaceful 2019 protests in Hong Kong were prompted by a legal amendment allowing extradition of suspected criminals to mainland China. They were not staged by external forces, nor can they be categorized as part of a color revolution. -

U.S. deployed elements of its Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System in Turkey, Germany, Spain, Romania and Poland, but never in Ukraine.
