Footage of a firefight between left-wing guerrillas and drug cartel gunmen in Colombia had been broadcast by local media before X users recycled it to spread fake claims about the Venezuela-Guyana dispute. -

Guyana is adhering to the Geneva Agreement of 1966 in trying to resolve the dispute over Essequibo through the United Nations International Court of Justice. -

Under Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela transitioned into autocracy. -

The European Union’s power to impose sanctions on foreigners is not outside the law or international norms. -

Maduro offered no details about the arrival of Chinese vaccines or his vaccination plan. Venezuela has struggled to vaccinate even its most vulnerable. -

Vaccines are being delivered free of cost. In most countries, this accomplished through free, universal healthcare systems. -
